DVD MemoryBooks

A DVD MemoryBook is a categorized collection of photographs. The most common form is a series of photo montages where one picture dissolves into the next, set to theme music. Narration can also be included. Another method is to have each photograph held on screen until the viewer advances to the next image, but this precludes having a musical and/or narration track along with the pictures.

Our DVD MemoryBooks provide your students a highly affordable, compact, durable and comprehensive remembrance of the school year. Every picture can be in brilliant color with absolutely no consideration to extra expense as would be the case with a printed book. The excellent quality of today’s digital cameras means your memorybook can look great, even on a big screen TV.

Menus allow placing the image collections in different categories, and just like our DVD yearbooks—it’s your decision as to how much of the design and production work you’d like to tackle...we’ll handle the rest, delivering a fully printed and packaged “retail ready” product.

You can provide us with the photo montages as edited streams of video that already have the selected music in place, or provide us with sorted image files, prints, and negatives and we’ll make the photo montages—with music if desired. Of course the incorporation of your school logo, colors and mascot into the menus and graphics is a great way of showing school spirit in your memorybook. You could even have a video of students singing the school song as the first play or “splash screen” of your book, if you’d like.

Because of the many variables involved, it’s difficult to offer a simple pricing schedule that reflects the actual finished cost of a DVD MemoryBook. The low end of the cost scale would be around $4 to $6 per disc with the average running between $8 and $14. Major factors (not necessarily in order) are: the number of discs, the complexity of authoring (the number of menus, categories, etc.), the type of printing and packaging, and the readiness of submitted materials (will Organic Media be compiling the montages, adding the music, etc.)
