Film Production

The film image is still the highest quality available. Digital video provides time & cost savings, and the inroads video has made into the production world have dramatically decreased the amount of film being shot. However, there are still very good reasons to shoot film.

Video does not (at a practical level) offer the high speed motion capabilities film does, as in slow and ultra slow motion, either for dramatic effect or for studying fractional increments of time. Film is also still king when it comes to image quality in the extremes of contrast and for making people and products look their best. Eastman Kodak has made quantum leaps in low grain, high sensitivity stocks and they continue to push their technology to further heights.

Organic Media has fully scalable film production services from Super 8mm, when a period or home movie look is desirable, 16mm for a film quality image with a compact crew, to 35mm shoots with a full crew.
